At the Child Study Center, we work with teachers, schools and families to help get school-avoiders past the problem and back to the classroom. Our unique roster of seasoned professional staff support the betterment of our communities by contributing their experience, excellence, skills and time to assist and manage. Dempsey completed her internship year in the Pediatric Psychology program at Michigan State University. She graduated with her doctoral degree in School Psychology from the University of Texas at Austin. The Child Study Center (CSC) provides diagnosis and treatment services to children who have, or are at risk for, developmental disabilities and related. We serve a diverse socio-economic community and our contribution is to strengthen its very core through quality education. We are approved by the NY State Education Department and licensed by the Department of Health to accept and service pre-school children between the ages of 2.6-5 who have special needs. Since 1991, the Yale Child Study Center has been on the cutting edge in developing collaborative efforts to address the children exposed to violence (CEV). This clinic primarily treats children of ages preschool through 13, along with their parents or guardians. The Center is operated in conjunction with the Psychiatric Research Institute (PRI) at UAMS. The purpose is to provide start-up funds to develop. The Child Study Center’s Outpatient Therapy Clinic serves the entire state of Arkansas, with over 1,000 new patients referred each year. This annual fund supports clinical and research faculty with a primary appointment at the YCSC.
